Kano, Nigeria – The Kano State Police Commissioner, CP Ibrahim Bakori, has extended Easter greetings to the Christian community in the state, assuring residents of heightened security before, during, and after the celebrations.

In a statement issued on Thursday by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the Commissioner directed all senior officers, including Heads of Departments, Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Operational Commanders, to intensify security operations across the state.
Kiyawa stated that the security measures include the deployment of personnel to strategic locations, increased visibility patrols, stop-and-search operations, and collaboration with other security agencies—all in line with the Command’s Easter Operation Order.

“These measures underscore the Command’s commitment to protecting lives and property during the Easter season,” the statement read.
The Command also urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities. Emergency contact lines have been made available for swift response:
08032419754, 08123821575, 09029292926, 0807609127
Additionally, the public is encouraged to use the “NPF Rescue Me” mobile application, available on the Google Play Store, for emergency assistance.

SP Kiyawa emphasized the Kano State Police Command’s dedication to maintaining law and order and fostering a peaceful environment for all residents.
“We appreciate the support and cooperation of the good people of Kano State and urge everyone to remain vigilant,” he added.
