The leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) and former Kano State Governor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has extended his condolences to the global Catholic community and Christians at large over the passing of Pope Francis.

In a message shared via his official Facebook page, Kwankwaso described the Pope’s death as a monumental loss to humanity, noting the late pontiff’s humility and commitment to spiritual service.
“I extend my deepest condolences to the global Christian community on the passing of Pope Francis,” the 2023 NNPP presidential candidate wrote.
“His loss is a huge one to humanity. Pope Francis will be remembered for a life dedicated to serving the Lord in humility.”

Kwankwaso praised the Pope as a “strong ethical compass” whose guidance and insights touched people beyond religious boundaries.
“May his memory continue to inspire hope for world peace and unity,” he added.
