The Association of Resident Doctors at the Kwara State University Teaching Hospital (ARD-KWASUTH) has commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for the prompt payment of the 2024 Consolidated Medical Salary Structure (CONMESS), including two months’ arrears.

In a statement issued on Sunday in Ilorin, the President of ARD-KWASUTH, Dr. Abdulfatai Abdulazeez, expressed gratitude to the governor for the timely disbursement, calling it a significant milestone for the medical community in the state.
Dr. Abdulazeez also praised the governor for initiating the payment of the Medical Residency Training Fund (MRTF), a crucial step in advancing the professional development of doctors. He emphasized that this move is a clear demonstration of the administration’s commitment to strengthening the healthcare sector and investing in the future of healthcare professionals in Kwara.

“This gesture underscores your administration’s dedication to improving the healthcare system and ensuring that medical professionals are well-supported,” Dr. Abdulazeez said.
The ARD-KWASUTH President further highlighted that the payment of CONMESS and MRTF would have a long-term positive impact on healthcare services in Kwara. He described the payments as “historic milestones” that reflect the governor’s commitment to the wellbeing of both medical professionals and Kwarans at large.

The association concluded by extending its appreciation to Governor AbdulRazaq for his leadership and dedication to advancing healthcare in the state.
