Lawmaker, Lauya, Mourns Worldview Magazine Editor, Jethro Yerga

The Member representing Ardo-Kola, Lau, and Karim-Lamido Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Abdullahi Muhammed Lauya, has condoled with the management of Worldview Magazine and the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Taraba State Council, over the death of the magazine’s Editor, Mr. Jethro Yerga.

In a condolence letter addressed to the Editor-in-Chief and Chief Executive Officer of Worldview Magazine, Mr. Williams Ayooso, Lauya described Yerga’s demise as a painful loss to journalism in Taraba State.

The lawmaker recalled seeing the late journalist at a recent public function in the state, adding that the news of his passing came as a shock.

“On behalf of myself, my family, friends, and political associates, I extend our heartfelt condolences to the management and staff of your organisation, as well as the NUJ Taraba State Council,” the letter read.

Lauya further prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased and urged the organisation to extend his condolences to Yerga’s immediate family.

Yerga was until his death a key editorial figure at Worldview Magazine, known for his professional commitment to journalism and media development in the state.
