The Nigeria Association of Small-Scale Industrialists (NASSI), Nasarawa State Chapter, has partnered with Dangote Industries Limited (DIL) to stimulate fresh investments and industrial growth in the state, leveraging the upcoming 2025 Nasarawa Trade Fair and Exhibition (NASTFE) as a strategic platform.
Speaking to journalists in Lafia, the NASSI Chairman, Mr. Nidan Sambo Manasseh, revealed that discussions are ongoing with the Dangote Group to deepen collaboration, particularly in areas of youth and women empowerment, skills acquisition programs, and other support services aimed at bolstering small-scale industries.
“We are actively exploring opportunities to strengthen our ties with the Dangote Group,” Manasseh said. “Their support—both financial and strategic—has been invaluable, and we remain deeply grateful.”
According to him, the 2025 NASTFE will showcase Nasarawa’s vast economic potential, especially its rich mineral resources. He emphasized that the exhibition aligns with Governor Abdullahi Sule’s vision to attract investors and drive value addition in raw material processing and manufacturing.
“NASTFE serves as a premier platform to connect investors with Nasarawa’s abundant resources and vibrant human capital,” he said, adding that small-scale industries stand to benefit significantly from the initiative through increased investment and job creation.
The Dangote Group, in a statement issued by its Chief Branding and Communication Officer, Mr. Anthony Chiejina, reaffirmed its commitment to Nasarawa State, noting that the state plays a pivotal role in the company’s long-term investment strategy.
“Nasarawa is home to our Nasarawa Sugar Company Limited (NSCL), one of the biggest sugar investments on the African continent,” Chiejina said.
Also speaking, Fatima Wali Abdurrahman, Senior Special Adviser to the President of Dangote Group, stated that several of the conglomerate’s Strategic Business Units (SBUs) would participate in the trade fair. These include Dangote Peugeot Automobiles Nigeria Limited (DPAN), Dangote SinoTruck, Dangote Sugar Refinery, NASCON (Dangote Salt), and Dangote Cement.
She added that a dedicated Help Desk will be set up at the fair to handle business inquiries and feedback from participants. “We encourage attendees to visit our pavilion and explore the innovative solutions we offer,” she said.
The partnership is expected to contribute significantly to Nasarawa’s economic transformation by promoting industrialization, increasing employment, and reducing poverty across the state.
