Jalingo, Taraba State – May 5, 2025
Civil servants in Taraba State have expressed growing concern over the prolonged delay in the payment of their salaries, calling on Governor Agbu Kefas to urgently address their plight.

Many workers across various ministries and agencies in the state say the delays have caused significant hardship, with some struggling to meet basic needs such as food, healthcare, and transportation.
“We have families to feed, bills to pay, and responsibilities to meet, but it’s becoming increasingly difficult without our salaries,” a civil servant who spoke on the condition of anonymity told reporters.

The affected workers are appealing to the state government to prioritize their welfare, stressing that regular and timely payment of salaries is essential to maintaining morale and ensuring the effective delivery of public services.

As of the time of filing this report, NEWSPOINTER reports that the state government has yet to issue an official statement addressing the complaints.
