Adamawa Confers “Gangpan-Ganye” Title on General TY Danjuma

Former Chief of Army Staff, General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma (Rtd), has been conferred with the traditional title of Gangpan-Ganye (Protector) by the people of Adamawa State.

The honour recognizes General Danjuma’s significant contributions to Nigeria’s development, especially in Adamawa and other states, as well as his unwavering commitment to national unity and good governance.

General Danjuma, a prominent figure in Nigeria’s socio-political arena, holds several traditional titles including Abonta of Kwararafa Kingdom, Jagunla of Akure, Gee-gee of Karu, Jarman Zazau, Jediofo of Igbo Land, and Barde Baba of Lafiya.

The conferment of the Gangpan-Ganye title further cements his legacy as a patriot and philanthropist, known for his efforts in fostering community development and peace across Nigeria.

In accepting the title, General Danjuma expressed gratitude and reaffirmed his dedication to advancing the welfare of Nigerians.
