The Third-Class Chief of Sarkin Kudu in Ibi Local Government Area of Taraba State, His Royal Highness Alhaji Ibrahim Adamu Sale, has commended Governor Agbu Kefas for addressing the lingering insecurity in the area.
The monarch gave the commendation in his Eid-el-Kabir message, noting that the governor’s strategic deployment of security personnel and decisive actions had helped curtail incidents of kidnapping, banditry, and other criminal activities in the community.

According to him, prior to the current administration, residents of Sarkin Kudu were subjected to frequent attacks and abductions, which hindered farming and economic activities.
“Our situation before the assumption of office by Governor Kefas was alarming. Kidnappers operated freely, demanding ransom and creating fear among the people. Farmers could no longer go to their farms,” he said.
“Today, we are witnessing peace and improved security due to the governor’s proactive measures. We are grateful for his intervention.”
The traditional ruler stated that the positive changes in the area were a direct result of Governor Kefas’ commitment to security, adding that residents would continue to support his administration to ensure sustained peace and development in the state.

He also urged leaders at all levels to emulate the spirit of sacrifice exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (AS), particularly during the Eid celebration, saying such virtues are critical to effective leadership and good governance.
“We must all support the governor in his efforts to move the state forward. His plans for Taraba are promising, and we are ready to give him the backing he needs,” he added.
The monarch called on the Muslim faithful to observe the Sallah celebration in peace and reflect on its lessons of faith, sacrifice, and obedience to God.
