A former senatorial candidate for Taraba North under the Young Progressives Party (YPP) and 2023 governorship aspirant, Sa’ad Hassan Abubakar, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as focused efforts to reposition the country and deliver dividends of democracy.
Abubakar made the commendation on Wednesday in Jalingo while speaking to journalists as part of activities marking this year’s Democracy Day.

He said the Tinubu-led administration is laying what he called a “solid foundation for sustainable development,” noting that the president’s policies are gradually translating into visible progress across key sectors.
“The administration is quietly working to restore confidence, stabilize the economy, and reposition Nigeria for long-term growth,” he said.
The former guber candidate also acknowledged the growth of Nigeria’s democracy since 1999, saying the country has witnessed considerable transformation despite existing challenges.

Speaking on developments in Taraba State, Abubakar lauded Governor Agbu Kefas for his leadership style and commitment to the people.
“Governor Kefas is doing his best to serve Tarabans. He is focused on laying a strong foundation for the future,” he said.
He noted that the security situation in the state has improved under Kefas’s administration, which he said has increased public confidence in government and encouraged economic activity.

Abubakar called on Nigerians to remain committed to democratic ideals and support leadership at all levels for the continued progress of the nation.
