Head coach of Kwara United, Tunde Sanni, has expressed confidence ahead of the 2024 President Federation Cup final, assuring fans that the team is fully prepared to claim the title for the first time in the club’s history.
Kwara United will face Abakaliki FC in the final scheduled for Saturday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos.

Speaking during a media briefing organised by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Sanni, a former captain of the Ilorin-based side, said his players are in top shape and ready to make history.
“I am not under any pressure. My team is battle-ready—mentally and physically. The boys are in great shape and know what is at stake,” he said.
Sani, who never won the competition during his playing career, said the final presents a personal opportunity to achieve a long-held dream.
“We never won this trophy during my playing days, but now as the coach, I want to do it for Kwara. This is our time,” he added.
He, however, admitted that Abakaliki FC deserve respect for reaching the final, while insisting that Kwara United are focused on the task ahead.
“We are not underrating Abakaliki FC. They are a good side, and that’s why they’re in the final. But we are not afraid of them. We will go in with absolute concentration and commitment.”

Also speaking, team captain Kabir Mohammed said there are no injury concerns in camp and that the players are determined to give their all.
“Everyone is focused, and we are going into the match with 100 per cent attention and determination to bring the trophy home,” he said.
Kwara United will be aiming to lift the President Federation Cup for the first time in the club’s history when the match kicks off at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
