Vice President Kashim Shettima arrived in London on Monday following the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Shettima was accompanied by the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, on the directive of President Bola Tinubu.

Buhari died in London after a prolonged illness, according to presidency sources.
The Vice President is expected to accompany the remains of the former president back to Nigeria for burial in Daura, Katsina State.

Buhari, who ruled Nigeria between 2015 and 2023, was the country’s seventh elected president and previously served as military head of state from 1983 to 1985.
Funeral arrangements are to be announced by the Federal Government.
