Preliminary figures from wards already announced suggest a tight contest between the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC). In Jen Kaigama Ward, both parties recorded substantial votes, making it one of the key battlegrounds that could swing the final outcome.
Party agents and supporters have maintained a strong presence at the collation centre, while security operatives have intensified patrols to ensure peace and order.
Residents who spoke to NEWSPOINTER expressed mixed feelings over the delay in the release of results. “We have been following the collation closely. Everybody wants to know who carries the day,” said a resident of Karim town.

The Karim One council election has drawn attention across the state due to the high stakes and long-standing political rivalry between the two leading parties.
