The Executive Chairman of Sardauna Local Government Area of Taraba State, Hon. Mohammed J. Umar, has expressed gratitude to Governor Agbu Kefas, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leadership, and the people of Sardauna for giving him the opportunity to recontest for a second term in office.
Umar, in a statement made available to journalists in Jalingo on Sunday, said the privilege to seek re-election under the platform of the PDP was a renewed call to service and a responsibility to strengthen grassroots governance.

“I do not—and will never—take this noble privilege for granted. To me, it remains a renewed call to service and a responsibility to add value to governance at the grassroots,” he said.
The council chairman commended Governor Kefas for his leadership and vision, adding that his administration in Sardauna would continue to align with the governor’s Moving Forward Agenda.
Umar also acknowledged the support of the PDP at the state, zonal and local levels, describing the party’s confidence in his leadership as a source of encouragement and inspiration.
He further appreciated the cooperation of traditional rulers, religious leaders, community stakeholders, opinion leaders, women, and youths in the council, stressing that their solidarity had made governance more inclusive and impactful during his tenure.
