The Bauchi State Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Hajiya Hajara Yakubu Wanka, has hailed Governor Bala Mohammed’s achievements in governance as Nigeria clocks 65 years of independence.

Wanka, in a goodwill message on Tuesday, said the anniversary offers Nigerians an opportunity to renew hope and strengthen unity.

She praised Mohammed’s “visionary leadership,” pointing to his administration’s investment in infrastructure, social services and economic growth.

The commissioner noted that the upcoming Bauchi International Investment Summit would further demonstrate the governor’s commitment to unlocking the state’s economic potential.

“The summit will not only attract global investors and policymakers but also serve as a platform to showcase Bauchi’s comparative advantages and drive sustainable development,” she said.

Wanka also urged Nigerians to embrace the values of unity and resilience, stressing that collective effort remained key to building a brighter future.
