— General Musa inaugurate remodeled Staff Duties Wing at AFCSC Jaji

The Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, on Friday declared the 2025 edition of Exercise Haske Biyu closed, praising participants for their professionalism, commitment and collaborative spirit during the three-week joint training.
The exercise, hosted at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji, Kaduna State, was designed to improve synergy among security agencies and foster stronger collaboration with ministries, departments and agencies.
With the theme “Family and National Security”, the programme emphasized the role of strong family units in building national stability and resilience.
Musa commended the Commandant of AFCSC, Air Vice Marshal Hassan Alhaji, and the College community for what he described as “a job exceedingly well done,” stressing that the institution remains central to shaping Nigeria’s internal security operations through rigorous training and intellectual engagement.
He lauded the inclusion of family dynamics, civic responsibility and moral resilience as key pillars of the exercise, saying: “The security of the nation begins with the foundation of strong families and cohesive communities.”
The CDS also thanked the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for attending the opening ceremony, noting that her keynote address underscored the national importance of the exercise.
Musa urged participants to put their knowledge into practical, solution-driven actions in pursuit of peace and stability across the country, adding that the experience gained would enrich their conduct in future operational and strategic assignments.
In his remarks, the AFCSC Commandant, AVM Alhaji, said the exercise highlighted the family as the foundation of society, where morality, discipline and patriotism are nurtured. He warned that weak family structures could foster extremism, disunity and insecurity.
Alhaji disclosed that next year’s exercise would consolidate on current gains and involve stakeholders from the executive, legislative and judicial arms of government, as well as other segments of society, including people with disabilities.

Participants in Exercise Haske Biyu 2025 were drawn from student officers of Senior Course 47/2024, MDAs, the media, non-governmental organisations, strategic partners and other professional groups.
