Bali, Taraba State | November 9, 2025

The newly elected Chairman of Bali Local Government Council, Hon. Habila Balasa, has appealed to residents to remain peaceful and abide by constituted authorities following his victory at the just concluded local government election.
Balasa, who hails from Kegama Ward, made the appeal shortly after he was declared winner of Saturday’s election in Bali.

He commended the peaceful conduct of the poll and expressed satisfaction with the outcome, describing it as a true reflection of the people’s will.
The chairman-elect urged the people of Taraba State, particularly those in Bali, to continue respecting all levels of government—from the Executive Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, down to councillors in the various wards.
According to him, peace remains the foundation of every meaningful development. He assured that his administration would promote unity, youth empowerment, and inclusivity across the area.

Balasa also disclosed that his leadership would align with Governor Kefas’s Five Finger Mantra, especially the “Peace for All” initiative, through the creation of opportunities to engage youths productively and reduce unemployment.
He pledged to work closely with traditional rulers and community leaders to sustain peace and strengthen harmony among different ethnic and religious groups in the council area.
