The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chairmanship candidate in Kurmi Local Government Area, Moses Maihankali, has been declared winner of the local government election.
Declaring the results at the Recreation Center in Baissa, the Returning Officer, Dan Audu Galadima, said Maihankali scored 63,355 votes, returning him as the duly elected chairman of Kurmi Local Government Area.

Speaking in an interview with NEWSPOINTER, Maihankali expressed gratitude to the people of Kurmi for entrusting him with another term. He commended residents for their peaceful conduct during the election and urged them to maintain peace before, during, and after the polls.
The newly elected chairman pledged to build on his previous humanitarian efforts and advance infrastructure projects aimed at improving the development of the local government.

He also thanked Governor Agbu Kefas for his initiatives in the state, particularly the mobilization of contractors to complete the Mararaba-Baissa-Abong road project, describing it as a major boost that would ease the challenges faced by residents.
