Bauchi State has taken a major stride toward economic diversification and industrial expansion as Governor Bala Mohammed received the leadership of Shandong Minsheng Group at the Government House, Bauchi.

The high-level engagement followed the recent groundbreaking of the BMCC Nigeria Limited mining project in Baraza, Dass Local Government Area, a development widely regarded as a milestone in the state’s drive to reposition its mining and industrial sectors.

BMCC Nigeria Limited, a joint venture between the Bauchi State Government and Shandong Minsheng Group, is expected to harness the state’s rich mineral resources while creating employment opportunities, attracting investment, and facilitating technology transfer. The project aligns with the administration’s policy of leveraging international partnerships to stimulate sustainable economic growth.

Speaking during the visit, Chairman of Shandong Minsheng Group, Mr. Yu Tao, commended the Bauchi State Government for its hospitality and support, reaffirming the company’s commitment to a long-term economic partnership with the state. He said the project represents more than mineral extraction, describing it as a symbol of strengthened Nigeria–China relations and a catalyst for wider socio-economic development.

Governor Mohammed assured the delegation that Bauchi remains safe, peaceful, and welcoming to investors, stressing that his administration operates inclusive policies that promote transparency, environmental protection, and host-community participation.

He pledged the continuous backing of the state government to ensure the success of the BMCC project and other collaborative initiatives aimed at boosting industrialisation and economic prosperity across Bauchi State.
