Maiyaki’s Award – December 1st, 2025
The Southern Taraba Tiv Youth Support Group for Dr Bulus Maiyaki (Makaman Donga) has congratulated him on his award of an Honorary Doctorate Degree by the Federal University Wukari.
In a statement on Monday, the group’s coordinator, Martins Abochol, described the honour as well deserved, saying it was a recognition of Maiyaki’s contributions to education, infrastructure and humanitarian causes.

Abochol said members of the group joined other well-wishers within and outside the country to celebrate the award, both at the conferment ceremony and through messages of goodwill.
He thanked the management of Federal University Wukari for finding Chief Bulus Maiyaki worthy of the Honoris Causa honour.
According to the statement, Maiyaki’s interventions in community development and support for the less privileged have earned him admiration across Taraba State and beyond.
“Dr Maiyaki remains a beacon of hope to the downtrodden,” the statement read. “We urge him to sustain his humanitarian efforts and commitment to the masses. We are proud of him and wish him more success in his endeavours.”
