DSS Arrest – Dec. 5, 2025

The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested a medical doctor suspected of supplying drugs to kidnapping gangs operating in parts of Kwara State.

The arrest, according to sources within the agency, is part of ongoing efforts to dismantle criminal networks behind rising abduction cases in the state. Details of the doctor’s identity and the drugs involved remain undisclosed as investigations continue.

The DSS said the suspect is currently being interrogated to establish the extent of his involvement and possible links to other criminal elements. The agency reaffirmed its commitment to tackling crime and warned that those aiding criminals would face prosecution.

Residents of the affected areas have welcomed the arrest, calling on security agencies to sustain efforts to curb kidnappings, which have disrupted lives and businesses.

Authorities hinted that more arrests could follow as operations against criminal gangs intensify across Kwara State.
