Road Projects – Dec. 8, 2025

The Federal Government has officially commenced construction of a new road linking Nigeria with the Republic of Cameroon, running from Nguroje through Mayo Ndaga to Kan Iyaka in Sardauna Local Government Area of Taraba State.

The project is being facilitated by Barrister Umar Bangari, who has been instrumental in mobilizing support and ensuring smooth coordination between federal authorities and local stakeholders.

Officials say the road is designed to boost cross-border trade, ease transportation challenges, and provide better access for residents of border communities.

Local leaders have expressed optimism that the project will attract investment, create jobs, and stimulate economic activities across the region.

The Federal Government has assured that the construction will adhere to modern engineering standards and be completed within the stipulated timeframe.

Community members have welcomed the initiative, calling it a long-overdue development that promises to enhance the livelihoods of people living along the route.

This new road is part of the government’s broader strategy to improve infrastructure in border areas, strengthen regional integration, and promote sustainable economic growth.
