The Oda Ojiji of Imane (First Class), HRH Ibrahim Callistus Salifu, conferred the title on Adaji during a colourful coronation ceremony at his palace in Imane. The monarch said the Traditional Council decided to honour Adaji to appreciate his contributions and inspire others to follow his exemplary path.

The coronation rites, which lasted throughout the night of December 5, preceded the formal turbanning ceremony attended by dignitaries from within and outside the state.

HRH Ibrahim congratulated the new title holder and tasked him with reconciling aggrieved groups within the Imane Chiefdom, noting that the role requires responsibility, maturity and dedication.

Hon. Adaji, a respected journalist with decades of experience, currently serves as the Taraba State Correspondent for Aljazirah Newspaper. He was also a candidate for the House of Representatives seat for Ankpa, Olamaboro and Omala Federal Constituency in the 2019 and 2023 general elections.

In his acceptance speech, Adaji thanked the Oda Ojiji and the Traditional Council for the honour and pledged to uphold the values tied to the title. He assured the community of his readiness to use his experience to promote peace, unity and stability across the Imane District.

A reception later held at his residence in Aboh Ojikpadala attracted a large turnout of well-wishers, many of whom described the honour as well deserved.
