The Acting Chief of Mbamnga in Sardauna Local Government Area, Sale Abubakar Dule, has called on parents and guardians to ensure all eligible children in the chiefdom are vaccinated during the upcoming polio immunisation exercise.
Dule spoke with NEWSPOINTER in Mbamnga, describing the exercise as safe, free, and designed to protect children from preventable diseases.
He warned that polio remains a serious health threat that can cause permanent disability, stressing that vaccination is the most effective way to stop its spread in communities.
The acting chief urged parents, traditional rulers, and community leaders to cooperate fully with health workers who will be deployed across the chiefdom during the exercise.
He appealed to residents to ignore rumours and misinformation about immunisation, assuring them that the vaccines have been approved by health authorities and are safe for children.
