ALGON Chairman Pledges Stronger Coordination in Taraba

The Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria in Taraba State, Moses Maihankali, has pledged to strengthen coordination and effectiveness of the association in the state.

Maihankali, who also chairs Kurmi Local Government Area, made the pledge in an interview with journalists in Jalingo.

He said his administration would ensure that the activities of ALGON are well coordinated and aligned with the policies and programmes of the state government under Governor Agbu Kefas.

The ALGON chairman thanked his colleagues for the confidence reposed in him and assured that he would justify the trust through inclusive leadership.

He also called on local government chairmen in the state to give him maximum support to move the association forward.

Maihankali described as historic the successful transition from one elected local government council to another in Taraba State, thanking Governor Agbu Kefas for granting elected councils the mandate to serve.
