Politics: Stakeholders, Youths, Women Mobilise for Bwacha’s 2027 Governorship Bid in Taraba

Taraba State Stakeholders, youths, and women in Taraba State have announced plans to hold a strategic stakeholders’ meeting and solidarity walk in support of Senator Dr. Emmanuel Bwacha, CON, Esq, urging him to re-contest for the office of Governor in the 2027 general elections.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, 8th January 2025, with participants assembling at Sintali Fueling Station, Machiline at 10:00 AM, before proceeding on a solidarity road walk to NUT Hall, Jalingo, where the meeting will hold.

Speaking on the initiative, the convener, Abdulrazak Mahmud Liman (Talban Matasan Taraba / Dujiman Lau), said the gathering is aimed at promoting unity, hope, and tested leadership in the state. He noted that the move comes amid growing dissatisfaction among youths, women, and progressive stakeholders over the current state of governance.

Liman added, “We are calling on Senator Bwacha to once again offer himself for the governorship, so that Taraba can experience visionary leadership and sustainable development. The presence of all stakeholders is crucial as we take this bold step.”

The meeting is expected to attract community leaders, youth representatives, women groups, and other stakeholders committed to shaping the political future of Taraba State.
