JUST IN: Tarab Perm. Sec. Debunked Accusations of payment of Gratuities-Douglas

The Taraba State permanent Secretary Ministry of Finance and the chairman screening committee of civil servant, Douglas Kisaba has debunked the rumour making round that payment of gratuity to the Taraba state retirees in the state has stopped.

Douglas who was speaking with NEWSPOINTER in Jalingo described those who created the rumour as traitors and sabotage of the government plans and programme.

Douglas said Governor Agbu Kefas has clearly expressed his commitment to claring all gratuity backlog in the state and as committee they are working towards achieving such goal.

The Permanent secretary explained that the one billion naira has been put in place for a start and two hundred million Monthly has also been approved for the continuation of the payment .

According to Douglas their duty is to screened, filled the list and forwarded it to the Accountant General and finally to the Pension Board for payment.

Douglas further said they have done with twenty eleven, twenty twelve retirees aiming to commence twenty thirteen very soon.

NEWSPOINTER who visited the venue of the exercise said the screening was going on smoothly.
