The Kwara North Integrity Youth Forum (KNIYF) has praised Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his unprecedented developmental initiatives in Kwara North, particularly emphasizing the significant 200km Bode-Saadu to Kaiama road project, worth ₦250 billion, as the largest road development in the state’s history.
In a statement from the group’s secretary, Mohammed Dauda Baniya, KNIYF also congratulated the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU) for hosting its annual general convention.
The forum stressed its commitment to strengthening the relationship between Kwara North and the Ilorin Emirate, portraying both regions as “brothers.”
Baniya commended the Governor’s efforts on other developmental projects, including the Duku irrigation and Lade projects, while rejecting criticisms from the Kwara North Development Commission (KNDC), which it labeled as a “faceless group.”
The KNIYF dismissed the KNDC’s criticisms as unrepresentative of the people of Kwara North, calling out its members as individuals with no track record in facilitating development.
They also accused the critics of being driven by envy and political motives, seeking to disrupt the state’s peace and harmony.
The forum reiterated its support for equity and fairness among the state’s senatorial districts and expressed backing for the aspiration of having a Kwara North governor in the future.
It concluded by assuring that attempts to disturb the region’s peaceful coexistence would fail.
