Kwara State Polytechnic has announced a new partnership with the University of Ilorin, aimed at launching 13 new degree programmes. As part of the affiliation process, a resource inspection team from the University of Ilorin, led by Prof. Yahya Oyewole Immam, visited the Polytechnic to assess its facilities and resources.
Prof. Immam praised the Polytechnic for pursuing the affiliation and expressed the University’s commitment to strengthening academic ties with the institution. He also conveyed the warm greetings of the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN.
Responding, the Rector of Kwara State Polytechnic, Engr. Abdul Jimoh Muhammed, thanked the visiting team and pledged to provide the necessary support for the success of the degree programmes. He emphasized that the collaboration would provide greater educational opportunities for young people in the state and help address the growing university admission challenges.
The new degree programmes, set to commence soon, will be run in affiliation with the University of Ilorin, allowing students to earn university degrees in various fields. This partnership is seen as a major step in expanding access to quality higher education in Kwara State.
