In celebration of Valentine’s Day, the Estelle Education Foundation visited the City of Refuge F&G Orphanage Home in Ilorin, Kwara State, spreading love and joy through donations and interactive activities for the children.

The foundation’s Founder and Executive Director, Miss Ayomitide Ebo, explained that the initiative was part of their ongoing commitment to support the less privileged, emphasizing the importance of making orphans feel valued and included in society.
“Our foundation is focused on breaking the cycle of poverty and illiteracy by providing access to education and personal development opportunities. We regularly conduct outreach programs, including paying school fees and supporting persons with disabilities. This year, we chose to share love with the children in the orphanage,” Ebo stated.

Team Lead, Sharon David-Adeoye, urged the children to believe in their potential, telling them that their current circumstances do not define their future.
“You are the only ones who can limit yourselves. Stay focused and determined, and you will succeed,” David-Adeoye encouraged.
The Director of the orphanage, Precious Ajayi, highlighted the challenges of running an orphanage, noting that while donations are crucial, the need for consistent support remains great.

“We started with just seven children seven years ago, and now we care for over 50. While we initially focused on paying school fees, we now realize the importance of addressing all aspects of the children’s well-being,” Ajayi said.
The foundation’s visit included the donation of cake, stationery, noodles, biscuits, and drinks, and the children enjoyed games and interactive sessions, brightening their day. The foundation’s efforts underscore the need for continuous support to ensure the sustainability of orphanage homes.
