The President of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) in Taraba State, Bajison Damunga Wakili, has called on local government workers across the state to justify the implementation of the national minimum wage by attending work regularly.

He made this appeal during an interview with NEWSPOINTER while commenting on the implementation of the wage policy in Taraba.
Wakili commended Governor Agbu Kefas for prioritizing workers’ welfare, noting that his administration demonstrated commitment by implementing the ₦30,000 and ₦70,000 minimum wage within his first tenure. He described the governor as a worker-friendly leader and urged local government employees, particularly those in the state’s sixteen local government areas, to put in their best efforts to contribute to the development of Taraba State.

The NULGE president emphasized that words alone cannot adequately express the gratitude of civil servants to Governor Agbu Kefas for his magnanimity and dedication to improving workers’ welfare.
