Mass Wedding: Kano HISBAH Board Allocates 50 Slots To Journalists

The Kano State Hisbah Board, in North West Nigeria says, it has allocated 50 slots to Journalists interested in the program.

Commander General of the Board, Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa disclosed the offer while briefing journalists on the preparations for the next mass wedding program in the state.

Sheikh Daurawa emphasized that, the objective of the program is instilling moral values and curbing immorality, particularly among the youth.

He also revealed plans to incorporate legal practitioners and healthcare professionals into the next batch of the initiative.

He noted that, the Hisbah board has collaborated with several academic institutions, including Yusuf Maitama Sule University, Amine Kano College of Islamic Legal Studies, Sa’adatu Rimi University of Education, and the Department of Islamic Studies at Bayero University, Kano (BUK), to establish a Hisbah Academy.

According to him, the academy will provide formal education and skills training related to Hisbah personnel with certificates awarded upon completion.
