PSJ boss fumes as Boko Haram kill three Adamawa youths

Ishaya Durkwa, the Executive Director, Peace Building and Social Justice (PSJ) has condemned the killing of three young men, Nuhu Zacharia, Kwaji Dauda, and Tizhe Kwaji, by Boko Haram terrorists in Michika, Adamawa State.

The victims were recently abducted on their way from Yobe to Adamawa.

In a message of condolence to the Kamwe Youth Connect Association and the Higgi Development Association, made available to journalists Thursday in Jos, Durkwa, described the incident as a “senseless act of violence” that has shaken the community.

Durkwa, who is also from Adamawa state commended the Kamwe Youth Connect Association for lowering its logo in honor of the deceased, saying it symbolizes the respect and remembrance for the lives lost.

He called on the community to come together to support the affected families and remain vigilant against the threat of terrorism, stressing the need for unity and collective resolve in the face of adversity.

The PSJ boss reiterated the need for continued efforts towards peace, harmony, and the betterment of the nation, saying “We must continue to strive for a nation where such senseless acts of violence are not allowed to thrive.”

“This senseless act of violence against these young, promising individuals is a stark reminder of the ongoing challenges we face in our quest for peace and security. My heart goes out to the families and friends of the victims. May they find strength and solace during this incredibly difficult time.

“In solidarity with your grief and mourning, I commend the Kamwe Youth Connect Association’s decision to lower its logo in honor of the deceased. This gesture symbolizes the profound respect and remembrance we all share for the lives that were unjustly taken from us.

“Let us all come together as a community to support the affected families and remain vigilant against the threat of terrorism. It is in these moments of adversity that our unity and collective resolve are most crucial. We must continue to strive for peace, harmony, and the betterment of our beloved nation”

The incident has sparked widespread condemnation, with many calling for increased efforts to combat terrorism and ensure the safety of all citizens.
