Gombe CP decorates 67 promoted ASP’s with new ranks and Warn against corruption

The Police Commissioner, Gombe State Police Command, Hayatu Usman, has decorated sixty-seven (67) newly promoted Assistant Superintendents of Police II (ASP II) with their new ranks.

The 67 new ASP’s were recently promoted from the ranks of Inspectors and the Gombe CP was accompanied by his management team during the decoration exercise.

While congratulating the newly promoted officers on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, CP Hayatu Usman, urged them to shun corruption.

He also urged them to respect human rights, be courteous to the members of the public and carry out their duties professionally at all times as they assume their new ranks with more responsibilities.

In a statement shared to newsmen, the Gombe Police Command’s spokesman, ASP Buhari Abdullahi, said the newly elevated officers expressed their gratitude and enthusiasm over their new roles in the wake of their recent promotions.

“Their remarks highlight their commitment to their responsibilities and their vision for the future”, Buhari Abdullahi stated.
