Gombe water board to short down supply for 8 days

The Gombe state water board has said the water supply from Dadin kowa treatment plan to Gombe town will be cut off for 8days from starting from Monday twenty third to end of September do to maintenance services embarked upon by the Upper Benue River Basing authority at Dadin kowa Dam.

Speaking to our reporter the general manager, Gombe state water board engineer Abubakar Sadiq Muhammad says the maintenance services by the upper Benue will leads to closing of water channels from the Dadin kowa Dam to the treatment plan that supply water to the Gombe town.

Engineer Sadiq further said that the services of the upper Benue is to enhance the Dadin kowa Dam maintenance.

The GM further appealed to the people of the state for the services saying it will lead to eight days water shortages in the state capital and it’s environs adding that as soon as the maintenance completed the activities of water supply will be restored in the state.
