The Executive Chairman Jalingo Local Government Area of Taraba state, Hon. Aminu Jauro Hassan, has urged the people of Jalingo, Taraba State and Nigeria at large to continue to work together for a brighter future.
Aminu Jauro Hassan who was speaking shortly during the celebration of 64 years Independent Anniversary of Nigeria, hailed all those who have made immeasurable contributions to the growth and development of the country.
While congratulating the Taraba state Governor Doctor Agbu Kefas and fellow compatriots on the occasion of the 64th independence anniversary, he said the attainment of independence was as a result of sacrifices, determination and resilience of our nationalists, workers and citizens.
“I, therefore, salute all those who have made immeasurable contributions to the growth and development of our country. Since independence, we have been grappling with the challenges of nation building. We have recorded huge successes in infrastructural development and provision of amenities to our citizens in Taraba. There have also been low moments and missed opportunities, ” he stressed.
“The Jalingo local Government, which I lead by the grace of God, has been providing succour to the poor, vulnerable and underserved persons in the state,” he further said..
“We are investing heavily in agriculture, education, health, innovation and entrepreneurship. Transformation of the rural economy is on course.
“We shall continue to build bridges, not walls, to foster inclusivity, not division, and to nurture hope, not despair.”
“This day is a testament to our resilience and determination,” Hon. Aminu Jauro Hassan said.
“As we reflect on our journey, let us renew our commitment to fostering peace, unity, and development in our communities.
May we continue to experience growth, development, peace, and harmony in Jalingo Local Government, Taraba State and Nigeria at large.
