The Commandant Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps Taraba State command, Anthony Bala Bitrus has today paid a courtesy call on the Commanding officer 6 Brigade Nigerian Army Brig. Gen. Kingsley C Uwa at the Headquarters of the Brigade in Jalingo the Taraba state capital.

The visit by the Commandant was geared towards helping him familiarize himself with key players in the security architecture of the state and to further strengthen the harmonious working relationship that exists between the two agencies.
In his address, the Commandant NSCDC Taraba State Command Anthony Bala Bitrus said he was in the Brigade Commander’s office to thank him for the harmonious working relationship that the NSCDC enjoys with the Brigade since its inception. “I want to thank you most sincerely for the kind of cooperation that my Command enjoys with your Brigade since the time of my predecessors. The Nigeria Army has contributed so much in the area of training of our personnel in the past and I have come to ask for more training for our officers to improve their effectiveness. We hope that this beautiful synergy continues to improve in my time”.

Commandant Anthony Bala Bitrus reminded the Brigade Commander that the NSCDC is a protege of the Nigeria Army and therefore he should not hesitate in correcting or advising the Corps on how to improve in her operations.

In his response, Brig. Gen. Kingsley C Uwa thanked the Commandant for coming and promised that the Brigade will continue to collaborate with the NSCDC in ensuring the security of lives and properties of citizens in Taraba state. Gen. Uwa also assured the Commandant that the Brigade will be readily available to assist NSCDC anytime the need arises. ” Feel free to call on us whenever you need our support or advice in the area of your operations we will be more than happy to assist you”, Gen. Uwa said.
