Alleged Adultery: Husband, Lawyer Reacts to Upper Sharia Court Ruling in Kano

Following the Upper Sharia Court rulling in Kano that cleared suspended Jigawa Commissioner for Special Duties, Auwal Danladi Sankara off illicit affairs with a Married woman Tasleem, The Husband of the Woman Nasiru Buba and his Lawyer Rabi’u Sidi have reacted on the Upper Sharia Court rulling.

The Kano Upper Shari’a Court had on Monday dismissed adultery case against the suspended Jigawa Commissioner for Special Duties, Auwal Danladi Sankara.

Mr. Sankara was accused of having illicit affairs with the married woman, Tasleem Baba Nabegu.

The Presiding Judge, Ibrahim Sarki Yola terminated the case due to lack of evidence, as reported by the AIG Zone, Kano and Kano Attorney General.

In his ruling, Mallam Sarki Yola held that, the decision to terminate the case follows a thorough examination by the AIG Zone, Kano, and Kano Attorney General, which found no evidence to support the allegations of illicit affairs between Auwal and Tasleem.

Speaking to Journalists in Kano, the Husband to Tasleem, Nasiru Buba who was the complainant Nasiru Buba, expressed dissatisfaction with the way and manner the Upper Sharia Court dismiss the matter after presenting hundreds of verifiable evidence to prove his case.

Buba alleged that, he presented 854 pictures, over one hundred video clips, over two hundreds WhatsApp voice notes, over 500 hours of call records between his wife and Auwal to Police as evidence.

“Most of these evidences I got them through my wife Tasleem.” Buba said.

Buba who was chocked with the court’s decision said, “this is expected.”

According to Buba, “if the court had cleared them, they are not cleared in the eyes of God and the eyes People who knows the truth about the situation .

I leave everything to Allah and he will be the judge Insha Allah.” Buba added.

His Lawyer Rabi’u Sidi, said they were not informed of the Monday’s rulling as non of them was contacted.

He said, “we are very important and necessary party to this case, despite this nobody communicated with us, no body told us that there will be sitting in the court, we just heard rulling in the news.”

Sidi noted that the legal team will meet to decide the next line of action.

Recalled that, the suspended Jigawa state Commissioner for Special Duties, was arrested by the Kano state Hisbah board in an uncompleted building with a married woman on 17, August 2024.

The commissioner, however, denied the allegation in a statement he issued.
