The chairman Kurmi Local Government Council of Taraba state, Moses Maihankali has pledged his administration’s commitment to providing more developmental projects to the people of Kurmi.

Moses Maihankali made the pledge while speaking with NIGERIAN NEWSPOINTER on his achievements recorded during his one year in office.
The chairman said he has made a significant achievements within one year in office both human and infrastructure development for the advancement of Kurmi.
Maihankali said one of his first achievements in office was fostering unity and harmonious coexistence among the three tribes in Kurmi Local Government Area, namely Ndola, Tigon and Ichen.

According to Maihankali his administration was able to reconcile and bring together the two warning ethnic groups of Ichen and Chamba in Bissaula after years of communal crises with the support and encouragement of Governor Doctor Agbu Kefes towards ensuring that peace returned to the community.
He further revealed that his administration had partner with the First Referral Hospital, Baissa in Kurmi local government to offer free surgical outreach to touch the lives of his people, noted that over one hundred patients benefited from the medical outreach which is ongoing.
The Kurmi council boss further enumerated other projects executed to include, the construction a block of fourteen lockup shops at Baissa main market, which would soon be allocated to the traders for optimal use.

He said he equally initiated the award of scholarship to medical students from the Local Government studying at various universities across the country, adding that the programme was to assist as well as encourage the talented young people in the area to engage themselves in medical programmes.
Maihankali said he conducted a massive repair on boreholes across the Local Government to provide portable water for the people.
He remarked that his administration was able to open a new market at Akwabe community in Akento Boko ward which he described as first of its kind in the history of Kurmi Local Government.
He renovated Kurmi Local Government secretariat as well as commissioning of a clinic in one of the community in Bissaula ward to ensure quality health service delivery to people of the area.

On the need to promote unity among the youth, the chairman said he had organised a football competition to drew young people from all the wards across the Local Government as one the unifying factor with the aim to select talented youth to form a team that would be participating in football competitions within and outside the state.
Moses Maihankali commended Governor Doctor Agbu Kefes and critical stakeholders and the entire people of Kurmi Local Government for finding him worthy to serve and promised to maintain the confidence reposed in him.
