The chairman Kurmi Local Government Area of Taraba state, Moses Maihankali has reiterate his leadership commitment towards Uniting the people of Kurmi for peace, unity and development of the area.

Moses Maihankali said his administration was able to reconcile and bring together the two warning ethnic groups of Ichen and Chamba in Bissaula all in Kurmi LGA, after years of communal crises with the support of Governor Dr. Agbu Kefes in ensuring that peace returned to the community.
Maihankali revealed this while speaking with NIGERIAN NEWSPOINTER in Baissa the administrative headquarters of Kurmi local government.

He said “Before my coming as the elected chairman Kurmi LGA, out people were in disunity but now as I speak we have all unite as one family in the progress of unity”.
“My administration post toward fostering unity and harmonious coexistence among the three tribes in Kurmi Local Government Area, namely Ndola, Tigon and Ichen”.
Maihankali said has organised a football competition to drew young people from all the ten wards across the local government, as one of the unifying factor with the aim of selecting talented youths to form a team that would represent Kurmi in football competitions within and outside the state.

He further said he has initiated scholarship to medical students from the local government studying at various universities across the country to encourage them in medical programmes.
Moses Maihankali further lauds Governor Dr. Agbu Kefes, Kurmi stakeholders and the entire people of Kurmi for finding him worthy to serve and promised to do his very best.
