The Vice Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria CAN Kwara State Chapter, Pastor Ademola Popoola has called on Nigerians to rise up and fight the muster known as corruption inhibiting the progress of the Nation.
Pastor Popoola who stated this today in Ilorin in his sermon delivered at the seven lessons Carol of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Ilorin District Headquarters said corruption has greatly affected the progress and development of the Nation.
Speaking on the them of the Carol “Glorious birth” the Cleric stressed the need to stop corrupt tendencies that is inherent in human beings and put an end to plead bargaining and allow justice to prevail to curb corruption.
He stated that Jesus Christ came to the world to wipe out the work of the devil including corruption.
Pastor Popoola advised Christians to turn to God and show love during and after Christmas.
The Cleric admonished the Federal Government and the State Governors to address poverty and be sincere with the implementation of the Seventy thousand naira minimum wage.
He advised them to implement projects that will benefit the people and not their pocket urging them to fear God in all they do as they would give account hereafter.
Pastor Popoola charged the government to secure the Nation from bandits and insurgencies and equally think of allowing State police to ensure effective security of the nooks and crannies of the Country.
On his part, the Chairman, 2024 Carol Committee, Special Apostle Prophet Tunde Olayode said the programme put in place for the salvation of souls had achieved its aims.
Prophet Olayode urged Christians to desist from sin and let the birth of Jesus Christ be meaningful in their lives.
The Carol featured various Choirs and special appearances by invited Guest Artistes including Akin Owoseni, Voice of Asaph and Prophetic declaration by Prophet S. O. Korode among others.
