Vulnerable Citizens Benefit from First Lady’s RHIESS Initiative in Bauchi

250 people, comprising elderly and vulnerable have benefited from the 2nd edition cash empowerment component of the Nation’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu’s  Renewed Hope Initiative Elderly Support Scheme (RHIESS).

The commencement of the 2nd edition cash disbursement under the  RHIESS took place at the Dr. Sulaimanu Adamu Square, Government House Bauchi.

Bauchi State First Lady, Hajiya Dr. Aisha Bala Mohammed, who stood in for Nigeria’s First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu said that the program was aimed at  providing financial assistance and to improve the general  wellbeing of elderly citizens across Nigeria. 

While addressing the beneficiaries, Hajiya Dr. Aisha Bala Mohammed encouraged them to make the best use of the financial assistance for the benefit of their families.

She said the initiative underscores the unwavering commitment of Nigeria’s First Lady to the welfare of elderly and other vulnerable citizens.

“The Renewed Hope Initiative’s Elderly Support Scheme (RHIESS) stands as a testament to the power of collaboration and a shared vision to uplift communities and ensure a better future for all”, said Aisha Bala Mohammed.

High point of the occasion was the presentation of the sum of 200,000 Naira to each of the 250 beneficiaries comprising the elderly and other vulnerable target groups.

Some of the beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the Nation’s First Lady and Dr. Aisha Bala Mohammed for humanitarian gesture, stressing that it would go a long way in cushioning the harsh economic conditions.
