Yuletide: NSCDC Taraba Command Deploy 1600 Personnel for Hitch Free Christmas

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Taraba State Command has deployed 1,600 personnel across the state to ensure a peaceful Christmas and New Year celebration.

State Commandant Anthony Bala Bitrus announced that all relevant tactical units of the Corps, including the Rapid Response Squad, Special Female Squad, Anti-Kidnapping Squad, and Operation Safe Jalingo, have been mobilized to address any threats to peace and security before, during, and after the holidays.

Commandant Bitrus instructed the personnel to maintain the highest level of professionalism throughout the festive period, making it clear that any act of indiscipline would not be tolerated.

He also congratulated Christians in the state for celebrating another Christmas and urged them to embody the message of love by showing kindness to their neighbors.

He advised celebrants to celebrate modestly and remain security-conscious.

The Commandant further called on all citizens of Taraba State to report any suspicious persons or activities to the nearest security agency to contribute to maintaining safety and peace during the celebrations.
