The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has once again demonstrated her commitment to humanitarian causes by facilitating the distribution of 25kg bags of rice and cash to 5,000 widows across Kwara State.

This initiative, aimed at alleviating the hardships faced by widows and indigent citizens, especially during the festive season, took place in Ilorin, the state capital, on Tuesday.
Hon. David Ifabiyi, the National Coordinator of the Christian Northern Nigeria Political Forum (CNNPF), emphasized that this initiative is part of the First Lady’s yearly commitment to providing support to widows who have lost their breadwinners.
The distribution process was carefully organized in segments to prevent overcrowding and ensure safety.

The initiative was also hailed by Mr. Shola Abioye, the Kwara State Coordinator of CNNPF, who praised the First Lady for providing a sense of belonging to these vulnerable individuals.
Many of the widows struggle daily to support their families, and the donation allows them to celebrate the festive season with dignity.
Beneficiaries, including widows like Mrs. Esther Ogundunmade and Ranti Adelo, expressed heartfelt gratitude toward the First Lady, praying for the continued success of her administration.

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Kwara, represented by Mr. Abel Ashafa, also commended the gesture, calling it a significant step in improving the welfare of vulnerable Nigerians.
The initiative was celebrated by beneficiaries, who called on the government to continue implementing policies that address the pressing economic challenges faced by ordinary citizens.
