Senator Lawal Adamu Usman, representing the Kaduna Central Senatorial District, has donated N75 million to Christian constituents in the region to help them celebrate Christmas.
The funds were distributed across seven local government areas, including Chikun, Kaduna North, Kaduna South, Giwa, Birnin Gwari, Kajuru, and Igabi.
Usman stated that the donation aimed to ease the hardships faced by citizens, allowing Christians to celebrate the festive season with their families.
He highlighted that the gesture is meant to support his “brothers and sisters in Christ” during difficult times and emphasized the importance of unity between Muslims and Christians.
According to Usman, both religions share common values and historical narratives, and the era of religious division should be over.
He encouraged both faith communities to work together for a better future.
The event, attended by key figures such as People’s Democratic Party Zonal Secretary Honourable Hussaini Garba and State Secretary Honourable Sa’idu Adamu, was well received by the community.
Many beneficiaries expressed their gratitude, thanking Senator Usman for his generous contribution during the Christmas period.
