Kwara Police Launch Investigation Into the Killing of Retired Federal Controller

The Kwara State Police Command has initiated an investigation into the brutal murder of AbdulRazaq Ajani, a retired Federal Controller of Works, who was killed on New Year’s Day at his home in Ilorin.

Ajani, a retired civil engineer, was attacked at his residence on Dele Gege Street, Aderoju area, around 3 p.m. after returning from the holidays in Offa.

CCTV footage revealed that four young men, aged between 18 and 22, trailed him home, with two standing near the gate while the other two entered the compound.

They engaged Ajani briefly before attacking him with small axes in the presence of his family.

The assailants fled after the attack. The police have launched an investigation into the incident and are working to apprehend the perpetrators.
