Over 1,190 widows from the Shendam, Pankshin, and Kanke local government areas received New Year gifts from philanthropist Kefas Wungak Ropshik, the founder of the Kefiano Global Foundation.

The rice distribution began in Pankshin, Kanke, and Shendam, with Kefas explaining that the initiative was meant to alleviate hunger among the masses.
He emphasized that the gesture was not politically or religiously motivated.
Kefas also clarified that due to a poor rice yield from his own farm, he had to buy additional rice from other farmers to distribute.

He assured those who did not receive palliatives this year to remain patient.
The Paramount Ruler of Ngas-speaking people, Ngolong Ngas His Majesty Nde Jika Golit, praised Kefas for his efforts to help those in need.
During his visit to the royal palace in Pankshin, the Kefiano Global Foundation team received blessings from the Ngolong Ngas.

Beneficiaries expressed deep gratitude for the gesture, praying for continued blessings on the donor to enable him to extend his reach to others in need.
