Kano: Governor Yusuf Swears in 7 Commissioners, 12 Advisers

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has sworn in seven new commissioners and 12 advisers, with a focus on enhancing governance and addressing key state challenges.

At the swearing-in ceremony at the Government House, the Governor emphasized that the appointees were selected based on merit and are expected to contribute to the development of the state.

He highlighted the importance of infrastructure, education, health, youth and women empowerment, agriculture, and water supply, stating that these areas would receive substantial government attention.

The newly appointed commissioners include Shehu Sagagi (Investment, Commerce, and Industries), Dr. Ismail Danmaraya (Finance), Dr. Shehu Sani (Power and Sustainable Energy), Dr. Dahiru Hashimu (Environment), Abdulkadir Abdulsalam (Rural Development), Abdullahi Waiya (Information), and Wada Ma’aji (Public Procurement).

The Governor urged them to remain dedicated and committed to achieving the state’s goals.

He also commended the Kano State House of Assembly for its support and cooperation, reaffirming his determination to address the people’s needs and ensure the growth of the state.
