The Kano State Government has expressed its satisfaction with the recent Appeal Court ruling that overturned the Federal High Court’s decision to nullify the reappointment of Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as the Emir of Kano.

The Kano State Attorney General, Haruna Dederi, praised the judgment, emphasizing that it validated the government’s actions concerning chieftaincy reforms in the state.
The Appeal Court’s ruling, which voided the previous High Court order, confirmed that the Kano State government was within its jurisdiction to make decisions regarding the reappointment of Emir Sanusi, as well as the reforms involving the Emirate Council Law.

The Attorney General called on all parties to respect the court’s decision and work towards the unity and progress of the state.
