The Kwara State Geographic Information Service (KWGIS) has successfully processed 334 Certificates of Occupancy (C of Os), ready for collection.

This achievement was shared by ESV Abdulkareem Babatunde Sulyman, KWGIS Executive Chairman, during a quarterly press briefing in Ilorin.
The certificates include 156 processed in the second quarter and 178 in the last quarter of 2024.
Sulyman credited the success to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s automation reforms, which have transitioned land administration from analogue to digital systems, boosting efficiency and transparency. Alongside the C of Os, 878 Statutory Rights of Occupancy, 645 survey reports, and 364 Title Deed Plans were processed. Furthermore, 12 Land Registration Certificates were issued.

The ongoing land reclamation project around government setbacks and major roads is part of a broader initiative to improve security, aligned with federal directives.
Governor AbdulRazaq’s development projects include acquiring 3,000 hectares in Malete for livestock production and 2,000 hectares for an industrial park, with compensation payments underway.

Sulyman praised the governor’s leadership, which aligns all projects with the state’s master plan, driving sustainable growth and development while curbing land grabbing activities.
Residents are encouraged to collect their processed Certificates of Occupancy from the KWGIS office.
