The Kwara State Government has reiterated its commitment to infrastructural development and cleaner energy initiatives, positioning the state as a benchmark for sustainable growth.

Engr. Abdulquawiy Olododo, the Commissioner for Works and Transport, emphasized these efforts during the ministry’s quarterly scorecard presentation at a press briefing hosted by the Ministry of Communications.

He highlighted the completion of 38 major projects and the continuation of 46 others in the fourth quarter, alongside the construction of 209.77 kilometers of rural roads under the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP).

This initiative aims to connect rural communities and boost agricultural productivity.

Olododo commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s transformative leadership, which extends beyond physical infrastructure to include economic empowerment and improved living standards.

“The governor’s investment in road construction, urban renewal, and transportation has placed Kwara on a sustainable development path,”

Olododo stated, adding that these projects have bridged infrastructure gaps and opened up economic opportunities for rural communities.

In line with the state’s transition to cleaner energy, Olododo disclosed progress under the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative (PCNG-I).

This includes the acquisition of 20 18-seater shuttle buses and 20 tricycles, offering affordable and eco-friendly transport options.

He also highlighted partnerships aimed at expanding the use of compressed natural gas (CNG), which supports the state’s clean energy goals while creating jobs for residents.

“Governor AbdulRazaq’s initiatives are not merely infrastructure but symbols of hope and a brighter future for Kwarans,” Olododo remarked, praising the administration’s visionary approach.

The government reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining these efforts to enhance the well-being of the populace and drive the state’s overall development.
